Strange Horizons<\/span><\/i> is on the hunt for a new volunteer Patreon Manager to join our team.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our Patreon Manager will work with our social media team and fundraising team to ensure that Strange Horizons is engaged with our Patreon patrons. The Patreon Manager will also assist with the Strange Horizons annual fundraiser. Responsibilities will include: preparing and updating the Kickstarter page for the annual fundraiser, contacting writers for reward donations, and posting regular updates to the Kickstarter page.<\/span><\/p>\n

We highly encourage Black, queer, disabled, and\/or neurodiverse candidates to apply.<\/span><\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/b><\/h2>\n
    \n
  • Post weekly updates to Patreon corresponding to each new issue posted on Strange Horizons.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Communicate with patrons who send messages through Patreon.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Assisting with creating the Kickstarter page for the annual fundraiser, and posting regularly to the Kickstarter page throughout the fund drive.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Ability to work well with others in an online setting.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Excellent communication and writing skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Time commitment<\/b><\/h2>\n

      You will need to write a post for Patreon to go with each of our weekly issues. This will require reviewing the material in each issue and writing a paragraph or two to present it to patrons. The expected time commitment for this is 1-2 hours per week. During the annual fundraiser and for the month prior, an additional 1-2 hours a week would be needed.<\/span><\/p>\n
